I’m So Excited to Finally Share… I Launched a Haircare Brand: Kerativ
If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that scalp and hair health have become a huge focus of mine over the past several years, both in clinic and personally.
Hair thinning, shedding, scalp irritation, and changes in hair density are some of the most emotional concerns I see patients struggle with. I’ve sat and cried with patients about their hair loss, because hair isn’t just hair; it is something that’s so tied to our confidence, culture, and identity. I felt like there was still a gap in the market between clinically backed ingredients and products people actually wanted to use consistently. And my friends we KNOW that consistency is everything when it comes to tackling hair thinning and shedding.
So after years of development, testing, reformulating, and working closely with incredible cosmetic chemists and manufacturers, I’m so excited to finally share that I launched my own scalp and haircare brand: Kerativ. 🤍

Why I Created Kerativ
As a dermatologist, I wanted to create products that approached hair from a scalp-first perspective.
The scalp is skin, but for a long time, scalp care has lagged behind skincare in both innovation and user experience. I kept wondering: why are we willing to invest in elegant, science-backed skincare formulations for our face, but scalp products often still feel greasy, irritating, sticky, or outdated?
Kerativ was built around the idea that clinical scalp care can be science-backed and effective BUT also feel elevated and cosmetically elegant.
Our launch products include the Redensify Treatment Serum and the Redensify Reset Shampoo.
The serum includes ingredients like Kopexil 1%, Redensyl 3%, caffeine, adenosine, zinc PCA, pumpkin seed oil, and one of the first uses of a gentle third-generation retinoid (adapinoid) in a scalp serum. One of my biggest goals was creating a skincare serum-like formula that absorbed quickly and left no residue, because I knew people would never use a product consistently if it made their hair feel greasy.
The shampoo was designed to support the scalp microbiome and help thicken the appearance of your strands while still feeling luxurious and lightweight enough for regular use.
For best results, I designed the products to be used together as the Redensify Regimen, which pairs the serum and shampoo together.
We Invested in Clinical Testing
One thing that was really important to me was investing in actual clinical testing, not just relying on ingredient supplier claims alone.
We conducted an independent clinical study with consumer perception studies, standardized photography, and board-certified dermatologist assessments to evaluate visible changes in hair density and overall scalp and hair appearance over time.
As a physician founder, that level of validation mattered deeply to me. In addition to standardized before/after photography, our independent dermatologist evaluations revealed statistically significant increase in hair volume and density after 12 weeks of usage!

Building this brand while balancing clinic, content creation, motherhood, and life has honestly been one of the hardest and most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I nearly gave up multiple times along the way but now that I’m on this end of it I’m so glad I persevered!
I’m so grateful for this community and for everyone who has supported Tea with MD over the years. Many of you have followed me since MEDICAL SCHOOL (I’m truly a grandma on here!), and it feels surreal to finally share something I’ve quietly worked on for so long.
