It’s hard to believe that this garden exists in the Bay Area; everytime I come here I’m transported to a shogun’s garden estate in Japan! Hakone Garden in Saratoga, California has become one of my family’s favorite spots. Originally designed by an imperial gardener as a summer retreat for a wealthy San Francisco philanthropist, Hakone has become a community park. Not pictured is the exotic bamboo forest, a spot you have to visit if you are in the Bay Area.

It’s gorgeous! Looks similar to a tea garden I visited in Kyoto, actually 😀

Thanks June! I stopped by your blog and am so impressed with your edgy look. Not many girls can rock short hair but you do wear it like a champ!
